Mollie Does Pottery at Cernamic

Hey! I’m Mollie from AVA and I went to try Pottery at Cernamic. I’m pretty much up for trying anything…even if I think I’ll be rubbish. After reading about Nam Tran, I was excited to give this a go!

Why you should bid on this experience

If you’re up for being creative in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you need to think about heading over to Cernamic Studio for a BYOB pottery workshop.

Owned by award-winning artist, Nam Tran and run alongside the lovely Susi, this fun studio was opened up for classes around 5 years ago (so what’s your excuse for not visiting yet?!).

Nam gave a great demonstration and after it was super giving it a go. We got to spend time getting a feel for the wheel and clay. I ended up making a cute little bowl (after many tries!)

So next time you’re planning a post-work date or catch up with the girls, spend the evening at Cernamic’s studio. And trust us, a bottle helps get the creative juices flowing… just try not to get too wobbly on the wheel!

Review

It’s always a pleasure to find fun, inspiring experiences that we know you’ll love just as much as us…

Nam Tran

A few weeks ago I went to visit Cernamic, for a BYOB pottery workshop. Now there shouldn’t be a theme here, but like Barney at Melt Chocolate, I also didn’t end up bringing a bottle (and I actually have no excuses so count me in on the next BYOB experience!)

The studio is located in a labyrinth of creativity, so you’ll need to weave your way through the various corridors (and potentially take one or two wrong turns) before you find yourself at Cernamic.

Nam and Susi (and Boss the pug) run their workshops in their fun and creative studio. You can look around and see all of the amazing artwork made by the Cernamic team! Nam wants to show you that pottery is not always the same old pots and bowls. From Legomen to basketballs, he’s created an incredible array of pottery that’s been featured in exhibitions around the UK.
